Product Details

-High-performance 10 Gigabit Ethernet

Cisco 350X Series switches break the barrier of 10 Gigabit Ethernet adoption by providing affordable and powerful features for growing small and medium-sized business networks. With the 10G ports in both copper and fiber, you can easily and cost-effectively enable 10G connections to servers and network storage devices with standard RJ-45 Ethernet cables. You can also aggregate 10G Enhanced Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP+) fiber connections to build a high-performance backbone to dramatically increase the overall speed of your network.

-IPv6 support

As the IP address scheme evolves to accommodate a growing number of network devices, the Cisco 350X Series can support the transition to the next generation of networking and operating systems such as Windows 7, Vista, and Linux. These switches continue to support previous-generation IPv4, allowing you to evolve to the new IPv6 standard at your own pace, and helping ensure that your current network will continue to support your business applications in the future.

-Advanced Layer 3 traffic management

The Cisco 350X Series enables a more advanced set of traffic management capabilities to help growing businesses organize their networks more effectively and efficiently. The switches provide static LAN Layer 3 routing, allowing you to segment your network into workgroups and communicate across VLANs without degrading application performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the total PoE+ power budget available on the Cisco SG350X-24MP? +
The SG350X-24MP features a robust 382W power budget across its 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports. This capacity is specifically engineered to support high-draw PoE+ devices such as 802.11ac wireless access points, IP surveillance cameras, and VoIP handsets, ensuring stable power delivery even when all ports are utilized simultaneously in your network infrastructure.
Does the SG350X-24MP support 10 Gigabit uplinks for high-bandwidth environments? +
Yes, this switch is designed for high-performance throughput, offering four 10-Gigabit uplinks. This configuration includes two 10GBase-T/SFP+ combo ports and two dedicated SFP+ slots. These interfaces allow for flexible connectivity options, enabling high-speed stacking or backhaul to core network layers, significantly reducing bottlenecks in bandwidth-intensive enterprise deployments.
Can the Cisco SG350X-24MP be stacked with other units for increased port density? +
The SG350X-24MP is a fully stackable managed switch designed to support physical stacking. This capability allows you to manage multiple units as a single entity, simplifying configuration and troubleshooting. Stacking provides a scalable solution for growing network environments, enabling you to increase port density while maintaining a unified management interface across your entire switch stack.
What type of management interface does the SG350X-24MP provide? +
This switch offers advanced management options, including an intuitive web-based GUI and a command-line interface (CLI) for granular configuration. It supports industry-standard protocols such as SNMP, RMON, and Cisco FindIT, allowing network administrators to monitor performance, manage VLANs, and apply security policies efficiently to maintain high availability and network integrity.
Is the SG350X-24MP suitable for high-density voice and video deployments? +
Absolutely. With its managed feature set, the SG350X-24MP excels in voice and video environments by offering advanced Quality of Service (QoS) capabilities. You can prioritize latency-sensitive traffic, such as VoIP and video conferencing streams, ensuring clear communication and smooth playback across your network while simultaneously managing data-heavy applications and general internet traffic.
How does the SG350X-24MP handle security to protect my enterprise network? +
This model integrates robust security features, including Access Control Lists (ACLs), 802.1X port authentication, and DoS attack prevention. These tools enable you to strictly control network access, prevent unauthorized devices from connecting, and mitigate threats at the edge. By segmenting your network with VLANs and securing switch management access, you maintain a hardened environment against potential security vulnerabilities.
Are the SFP+ ports on the SG350X-24MP compatible with fiber or copper modules? +
The SFP+ ports are designed for maximum flexibility, supporting both fiber-optic transceivers and direct-attach copper (DAC) cables. This versatility allows you to choose the appropriate media for your specific distance and bandwidth requirements when connecting to core switches, servers, or high-speed storage arrays, effectively optimizing your network architecture for various physical site layouts.
What power standards does the SG350X-24MP support for connected devices? +
The 24 PoE+ ports are compliant with the IEEE 802.3at standard. This means each port can deliver up to 30W of power to connected devices. It is fully backward compatible with the older 802.3af (PoE) standard, allowing you to power a wide variety of legacy and modern networking equipment from a single, centralized power-managed platform.
