Product Details

-High-performance 10 Gigabit Ethernet

Cisco 350X Series switches break the barrier of 10 Gigabit Ethernet adoption by providing affordable and powerful features for growing small and medium-sized business networks. With the 10G ports in both copper and fiber, you can easily and cost-effectively enable 10G connections to servers and network storage devices with standard RJ-45 Ethernet cables. You can also aggregate 10G Enhanced Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP+) fiber connections to build a high-performance backbone to dramatically increase the overall speed of your network.

-IPv6 support

As the IP address scheme evolves to accommodate a growing number of network devices, the Cisco 350X Series can support the transition to the next generation of networking and operating systems such as Windows 7, Vista, and Linux. These switches continue to support previous-generation IPv4, allowing you to evolve to the new IPv6 standard at your own pace, and helping ensure that your current network will continue to support your business applications in the future.

-Advanced Layer 3 traffic management

The Cisco 350X Series enables a more advanced set of traffic management capabilities to help growing businesses organize their networks more effectively and efficiently. The switches provide static LAN Layer 3 routing, allowing you to segment your network into workgroups and communicate across VLANs without degrading application performance.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the primary uplink options on the Cisco SG350X-24? +
The SG350X-24 features four 10-Gigabit uplinks for high-speed connectivity. This includes two 10GBase-T/SFP+ combo ports and two dedicated SFP+ ports. This flexibility allows you to leverage either copper or fiber media depending on your existing infrastructure requirements, ensuring high-bandwidth throughput to your core network or server clusters.
Does the SG350X-24 support physical stacking for network growth? +
Yes, this model supports true physical stacking, allowing you to manage multiple switches as a single unit. You can combine up to four units in a stack, which simplifies management, provides a unified control plane, and increases port density without the complexity of managing individual switch configurations across your enterprise access layer.
Can I use the SG350X-24 for bandwidth-intensive enterprise applications? +
Absolutely. With 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports and four 10-Gigabit uplinks, this switch is designed to handle high-traffic environments. The 10G interfaces eliminate bottlenecks, making it an ideal choice for connecting high-performance servers, storage area networks, or as an aggregation switch in small-to-medium business network topologies that demand reliable, low-latency data transfers.
How is the SG350X-24 managed and configured? +
This switch offers comprehensive management capabilities, including an intuitive web-based graphical interface, a command-line interface (CLI) via console, and support for Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP). These options provide administrators with granular control over network traffic, VLAN segmentation, security policies, and real-time monitoring to ensure your network remains optimized and secure.
Is the SG350X-24 compatible with existing Cisco Small Business infrastructure? +
Yes, the SG350X-24 is fully compatible with the broader Cisco 350X series ecosystem. It integrates seamlessly into existing deployments using standard protocols like Spanning Tree, Link Aggregation Control Protocol (LACP), and various Layer 2/3 features. This interoperability makes it a reliable choice for scaling up your current network architecture without requiring a total infrastructure overhaul.
What layer of routing does the SG350X-24 support? +
The SG350X-24 is a Layer 3 managed switch. It supports static routing, allowing you to segment your network into different VLANs and route traffic between them efficiently. By handling routing tasks at the access or distribution layer, it reduces the load on your core routers and improves overall inter-VLAN communication performance across your internal network segments.
How does the SG350X-24 enhance network security for enterprise users? +
The switch includes robust security features such as Access Control Lists (ACLs), IEEE 802.1X port authentication, and IP-MAC port binding. These tools help prevent unauthorized access to your network infrastructure and mitigate common security threats. By enforcing strict security policies at the port level, you ensure that only verified devices and users can interact with your business-critical data.
Is the SG350X-24 suitable for environments requiring high reliability? +
Built for enterprise demands, this switch prioritizes high availability through features like redundant power configurations, energy-efficient Ethernet (EEE) to reduce thermal load, and advanced hardware-based traffic management. Its design ensures consistent uptime and performance, making it a dependable backbone component for applications that rely on persistent, stable network connectivity throughout the workday.
