TL-1351 Overview

What This Product Does

The TL-SL1351 Gigabit Switch provides 48 10/100M Auto-Negotiation RJ45 ports and 2 10/100/1000Mbps auto-Negotiation RJ45 ports, all RJ45 ports support Auto-MDI/MDIX function, 1 SFP independence expansion slots supporting MiniGBIC. TL-SL1351 Gigabit Switch provides a cost-effective, high performance, non-disruptive, smooth evolution into gigabit solutions. The Switch delivers superior performance with improving workgroup, network bandwidth, increasing network node, providing the greater flexibility, installation convenience.

Gigabit Uplink

The TL-SL1351 has 48 fast Ethernet ports and 2 Gigabit uplink port and 1 SFP port. The Gigabit uplink port provides bandwidth access of up to 1000Mbps. Due to the fact that network upgrades tend to be progressive over time, your network will tend to become mixed with both Fast 100Mbps Ethernet and Gigabit. TL-SL1351 is ideal for situations such as these to mitigate throughput issues and coordinate work efficiently; Allowing your organization retain most of your network investments, while enhancing network performance quickly.

More Efficient

Utilizing non-blocking switching architecture, TL-SL1351 can forward and filter packets at full wire-speed for maximum throughput. Moreover, 100% data filtering rate eliminates all error packets and make your network work more efficiently.

Ease of Use

The auto features of this gigabit switch make installation plug and play and hassle-free. No configuring is required. Auto MDI/MDI-X crossover on all ports eliminate the need for crossover cables or uplink ports. Auto-negotiation on each port senses the link speed of a network device (either 10, 100, or 1000 Mbps) and intelligently adjusts for compatibility and optimal performance. Compact size shell make it ideal for desktops with limited space while it is also Rackmountable, convenient and safe. Dynamic LED lights provide real-time work status display and basic fault diagnosis.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What are the primary performance advantages of the TP-Link TL-1351 for small office environments? +
The TL-1351 provides reliable Layer 2 switching capabilities designed for seamless plug-and-play connectivity. It excels in small office environments by minimizing latency and ensuring consistent data throughput, making it an ideal choice for connecting workstations, printers, and network-attached storage devices without the complexity of configuring managed hardware.
Can the TP-Link TL-1351 be mounted in a standard server cabinet? +
Yes, the TL-1351 is designed with a form factor suitable for rackmount deployment. Its dimensions are optimized for standard 19-inch server racks, allowing for clean cable management and integration into existing network infrastructures. This makes it a space-efficient solution for consolidating networking equipment within your central communication closet.
Does the TL-1351 switch require any software configuration for deployment? +
The TL-1351 is a strictly unmanaged L2 switch, meaning it does not require any software, firmware, or web-based interface for setup. It features an auto-negotiation mechanism that automatically detects the speed and duplex mode of connected devices, ensuring optimal operation immediately upon plugging in the power and Ethernet cables.
How does this unmanaged switch handle network traffic management? +
As an unmanaged device, the TL-1351 operates at Layer 2 and relies on hardware-based switching protocols to forward frames. It utilizes MAC address learning to efficiently direct traffic to the correct port, which reduces collisions and optimizes internal bandwidth usage without the need for manual VLAN or QoS configuration.
Is the TP-Link TL-1351 compatible with existing Gigabit Ethernet devices? +
This switch is engineered to be fully compatible with standard Ethernet protocols. It seamlessly supports legacy 10/100 Mbps hardware while providing high-speed connectivity for modern Gigabit devices.
