ENH924 Overview

Encore 24-Port 10/100Mbps NWay Switch is capable of delivering significant network load originating from large user group or from sources, such as video, audio, and graphic content. It has twenty four Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) ports. Each attached device to these ports enjoys a dedicated connection with no bandwidth congestion issue.
For your convenience, ENH-924 simplifies the operation procedures in many ways: the Plug-and-Play feature doesn't require software installation, the Front-panel Diagnostic LEDs monitor the activity status of the ports and the whole system, and the Auto-Negotiation feature allows each port to run at its optimum speed. Also, last but not the least, you don’t need to worry about the cable type, whether it’s crossed or not.
In addition, ENH-924 Switch is ideal for micro-segmenting large networks into smaller connected networks for improved performance. It also reduces latency and achieves reliable data connection using its Store-and-Forward switching method.
Incorporate Encore 24-Port 10/100Mbps NWay Switch in your network infrastructure to benefit from both performance and convenience.

- Provide twenty four Fast Ethernet (10/100 Mbps) ports;

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the primary port specifications for the ENCORE ENH924 switch? +
The ENCORE ENH924 is a dedicated unmanaged desktop switch designed to provide reliable high-speed connectivity for small office or home network environments. It features 24 ports, allowing you to easily expand your local area network to accommodate multiple devices like printers, PCs, and IP cameras without complex manual configuration.
Is the ENCORE ENH924 suitable for professional rack-mount server environments? +
This unit is designed specifically as a desktop switch, ideal for compact workspaces and small departmental deployments. Its form factor is optimized for stability on a flat surface rather than integration into standard 19-inch server racks. It offers a straightforward, plug-and-play solution for users who need immediate port density in a desktop-ready chassis.
Does the ENH924 require any software configuration or firmware management? +
As an unmanaged switch, the ENCORE ENH924 requires zero configuration. It operates using an automated, plug-and-play architecture that detects link speeds and duplex modes automatically. There is no web-based management interface, CLI, or firmware to update, making it the perfect choice for users who prioritize simplicity and immediate connectivity over advanced traffic control features.
How does the ENH924 handle high-volume data traffic within a network? +
This switch is engineered to maintain consistent data throughput by utilizing store-and-forward switching technology. This method ensures that each data packet is inspected for errors before being forwarded, maintaining the overall integrity and stability of your network traffic. It is well-suited for typical office networking tasks where reliable, consistent packet delivery is essential.
What is the typical deployment scenario for an unmanaged 24-port switch like the ENH924? +
The ENH924 is best deployed in scenarios where multiple devices need to be connected to a main router or server in a localized space. Whether setting up a new office floor or connecting a cluster of workstation terminals, this switch provides the necessary infrastructure to expand your network capacity rapidly and efficiently without requiring a dedicated IT technician for setup.
Does the ENCORE ENH924 support auto-negotiation on its ports? +
Yes, every port on the ENH924 features auto-negotiation. This functionality allows the switch to automatically detect the link speed and duplex mode—such as 10/100 or 1000 Mbps—of the connected device. By dynamically matching the capabilities of the hardware on both ends of the connection, it ensures the best possible link performance without any manual intervention required from the user.
Are there specific power requirements I should know about for this desktop switch? +
The ENH924 is built to operate efficiently within standard electrical environments typically found in commercial office spaces. It includes an integrated power supply optimized for the device's operational load. To ensure the longest lifespan and best performance, always connect the switch to a stable, surge-protected power source to avoid hardware damage from voltage fluctuations.
How can I identify if the ENCORE ENH924 is compatible with my existing network hardware? +
This switch adheres to universal IEEE networking standards, ensuring broad compatibility with virtually any Ethernet-ready hardware, including switches, routers, and legacy peripherals. If your existing infrastructure uses standard RJ-45 copper cabling, the ENH924 will seamlessly integrate into your current ecosystem, acting as a transparent bridge for your data traffic.
Can I receive a bulk quote for multiple ENCORE ENH924 units? +
Absolutely. If you are planning a large-scale deployment or need to procure multiple units for your organization, contact our sales department directly to request a bulk quote. We work closely with procurement teams to provide tailored pricing structures that align with your project budget and volume requirements, ensuring you get the most value for your infrastructure investment.
