C050067H014A Overview

PTP 670 systems provide 4.9 to 6.05 GHz, multi-band flexibility in a single radio and operate in channel sizes from 5 to 45 MHz.

Service providers, government public safety agencies and critical infrastructure operators such as utilities and energy companies have experienced massive growth in bandwidth demands for reliable and secure broadband connectivity. The nature of these deployments for small-cell backhaul, disaster recovery, video surveillance and Wi-Fi backhaul drive variety of deployment topologies.
Now with the Point-to-Point (PTP) 670 Series solution, Cambium Networks combines best-in- class spectral efficiency and reliability with high-capacity multipoint (HCMP) deployment flexibility. With up to 450 Mbps aggregate throughput, PTP 670 systems let you flexibly, reliably and securely handle today’s needs.

FLEXIBLE, SPECTRALLY-EFFICIENT, SELF-OPTIMIZING SUB-6GHZ SOLUTION
Based on our widely deployed, field-proven non-line-of sight (NLOS) technology, PTP 670 wireless Ethernet bridges offer an array of features that gives more capacity, greater operational flexibility and the highest spectral efficiency in the industry. PTP 670 systems provide 4.9 to 6.05 GHz, multiband flexibility in a single radio and operate in channel sizes from 5 to 45 MHz.
With Dynamic Spectrum Optimization (DSO), PTP 670 systems are constantly optimizing the channel of operation to maximize link reliability and performance. The systems can provide up to 99.999% availability in virtually any environment, including non-line-of-sight, long-distance line-of-sight, high interference, over water ,desert and through extreme weather conditions. As a result, you can deliver more throughput with less spectrum and less investment in the most challenging environments.

HIGH-CAPACITY MULTIPOINT and POINT-TO-POINT IN SINGLE SOLUTION
With the PTP 670, operators now have the flexibility to deploy not only in Point to Point topologies but also in High-Capacity Multipoint (HCMP) Applications. HCMP allows up to eight remote nodes to connect to a single master radio. This opens up new deployment models that enable rapid deployment, simplify planning and by using the same hardware regardless of topology a rapid return on investment in equipment and training. Whether your organization is an enterprise, government agency or service provider, PTP 670 systems are ideal solutions for a wide array of applications such as T1/E1 and fiber replacements or extensions, video surveillance backhaul, LTE, macro-cell & small-cell backhaul, last-mile access, disaster recovery, network redundancy and building-to-building campus connectivity.

FIELD TESTED AND SECURITY FOR PERFORMANCE IN THE REAL-WORLD
PTP 670 radios meet industry standards with proven compliance to assure you of interoperability, security and ruggedization.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the primary purpose of the Cambium PTP 670 23 dBi panel antenna? +
The Cambium Networks PTP 670 23 dBi panel antenna is designed to provide high-gain, directional signal transmission for point-to-point wireless backhaul links. It is specifically engineered to extend the range and improve the reliability of PTP 670 radio deployments, making it an ideal choice for high-capacity throughput in demanding environmental conditions.
How do the N-type connectors on this antenna facilitate deployment? +
This antenna features standard N-type female connectors, which offer a secure, weather-resistant interface for RF cables. This connector type is industry-standard for microwave and wireless bridge equipment, allowing for straightforward integration with the PTP 670 radio units using low-loss coaxial jumpers to minimize signal attenuation between the radio and the antenna.
In what deployment scenarios does a 23 dBi gain antenna perform best? +
A 23 dBi gain antenna is optimal for medium-to-long-range point-to-point links where focused signal propagation is required. By narrowing the beamwidth, this antenna increases the effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) of the link, effectively overcoming path loss and interference in congested spectral environments or across challenging physical terrain.
Is this Cambium panel antenna compatible with all PTP 670 series models? +
The C050067H014A is specifically designed to work with Cambium PTP 670 connectorized radio units. Because it utilizes standard RF connectivity, it provides broad compatibility across the PTP 670 ecosystem, provided that the radio configuration is set to match the antenna gain settings to ensure regulatory compliance and optimal signal modulation.
How does the panel design impact wind loading and structural requirements? +
The flat panel design offers a lower wind profile compared to large dish reflectors, which significantly reduces the mechanical stress placed on mounting hardware and tower structures. This makes the unit a practical choice for locations where wind loading is a critical engineering constraint, while still maintaining high directional performance.
What is the physical footprint and mounting configuration for this antenna? +
This antenna is designed for robust outdoor installation, typically requiring standard pole-mount bracketry that supports precise alignment. Its form factor is optimized for stability in outdoor environments, ensuring that the directional beam remains locked on the target even during environmental exposure, which is essential for maintaining consistent high-capacity wireless backhaul performance.
Does using a 23 dBi antenna require specific software configurations on the radio? +
Yes, once installed, you must update the antenna gain settings within the PTP 670 radio’s management interface. Configuring the correct gain value is essential for the software to calculate the appropriate transmit power levels, ensuring your link operates within local regulatory EIRP limits while maximizing the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) for the wireless connection.
How does this antenna help improve signal quality in high-interference areas? +
The high directivity of the 23 dBi panel helps isolate the signal by ignoring noise and interference coming from outside the narrow beamwidth. By focusing energy in a specific direction, it improves the link's overall capacity and spectral efficiency, allowing for stable operation even in challenging RF environments where signal pollution is prevalent.
