ALL-BM300 Overview

The ALLNET ALL-BM300 is a multi VDSL2 & G.fast Bridge Modem, which allows you to access the VDSL2
Internet in a fast and easy way. The modem is simply connected to a broadband router, firewall PC or MAC, no
further settings are necessary (for VLAN settings a VLAN ID can be configured in the web interface). Only your
router/firewall/PC etc. needs to be connected to the LAN port/connection.
It is ITU-T compliant and complies with the G.9700/9701 standard and supports the G.fast 106/212 double wave
profile. The bandwidth is up to 1 Gbps symmetrical data transmission and is perfectly suited for FTTpd/FTTN
applications. The ALL-BM300 is a cost-effective solution that provides end users with high-speed Internet access
over existing copper wire infrastructure. ALL-BM300 is also backward compatible with VDSL2 Super-Vectoring
Profile 35b and VDSL2 Profile 17A.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the maximum data throughput supported by the ALLNET ALL-BM300? +
The ALLNET ALL-BM300 is engineered to support a maximum data rate of 100,000 Kbit/s. This performance level is optimized for reliable DSL connectivity, making it an effective solution for standard broadband requirements where stable, consistent throughput is prioritized for business or home office applications.
In what deployment scenarios is the ALL-BM300 modem most effective? +
This modem is ideally suited for small office or residential environments requiring a dedicated DSL connection. Its compact design and focus on 100 Mbps throughput make it a practical choice for environments that rely on traditional copper-based broadband infrastructure for day-to-day operations and general internet access.
Does the ALL-BM300 require complex configuration to get online? +
The device is designed for streamlined installation. By connecting the DSL line to the appropriate port and linking your internal networking equipment via the integrated interface, users can typically achieve connectivity by following standard ISP handshake protocols. It simplifies the bridge between your service provider's external infrastructure and your internal local area network.
How does the ALL-BM300 ensure physical connectivity to the ISP? +
The unit features a standard DSL port specifically designed to terminate your service provider’s incoming line. By leveraging standard DSL modulation techniques, the modem establishes a secure physical layer connection, ensuring that data packets are transmitted efficiently between your premises and the central office or local exchange.
Is the ALL-BM300 compatible with existing home or office routers? +
Yes, this modem functions effectively as a bridge to your existing network architecture. By connecting the ALL-BM300 to a WAN port on your current router, you can manage your internal IP addressing, security policies, and Wi-Fi distribution while letting the modem handle the dedicated task of DSL signal modulation and demodulation.
What is the primary role of the ALLNET ALL-BM300 in a network stack? +
The ALL-BM300 serves as the critical entry point for your wide area network (WAN) connectivity. Its primary function is to transform the incoming DSL signal into a usable digital format for your local networking hardware. By offloading this task to a dedicated modem, you improve overall network stability and reduce the processing burden on your primary gateway.
Are there specific power requirements for the ALL-BM300? +
The modem is designed for low power consumption, typical of efficient DSL terminal equipment. It requires a standard electrical outlet and uses an external power supply to maintain consistent operation. It is recommended to place the unit in a well-ventilated area to ensure optimal thermal management during continuous 24/7 usage.
How does the build quality of the ALL-BM300 affect long-term reliability? +
ALLNET hardware is built with a focus on consistent operational uptime. The ALL-BM300 utilizes robust internal components designed to sustain steady connection states. By maintaining a stable thermal environment and clean power input, users can expect reliable, long-term performance suitable for persistent connectivity needs.
