The VPN Router – VR2020-LD with VDSL/ADSL and mobile communications - is manufactured according to the highest quality standards and due to its flexibility is excellently suited for the construction of safe branch-office networks or to connect mobile ATMs.

High-speed internet access with an extremely high reliability are achieved by the intelligent back-up management and implementation of two SIM cards (Dual SIM Support) of the VR2020-LD.

To enable the router to be used with all modern DSL connections including ALL IP, the VR2020-LD includes an integrated DSL modem that supports ADSL/2/2+ and VDSL/VDSL2 standards as well as VDSL2-Vectoring. The 2G, 3G and 4G (LTE = Long Term Evolution) wireless link is achieved using a multi-band modem using LTE, HSPA+, HSDPA/HSUPA, UMTS, EDGE and GPRS standards. The Ethernet WAN port allows both the realisation of any gateway connections and the connection of external modems (e.g. SDSL, cable, FTTH).

The permanently established VPN tunnel enable a VR2020-LD Router to be simply embedded in a branch-office network or connected to a head office and is directly accessible using private IP addressing. In this instance, DynDNS is not required for access, but it can be set-up at any time.

High security during data transfer is ensured by the fully implemented VPN Standards IPSec and OpenVPN. Authentication occurs alternatively with deposited certificates and pre-shared keys. The VPN Router supports all modern encryption algorithms such as AES with up to 256 bit key length.

In terms of security, the integrated Trusted Platform Module (TPM) should be especially mentioned, which is used to safely store secret keys. Cryptographic keys can be created, used and stored using the support of the integrated and safe Random Number Generator (RNG) within the TPM. The Trusted Platform Module offers both security from software attacks and also hardware manipulation.

To provide security for your network against attacks, a configurable High-Security Firewall is available. Using rules and scripts it can be adapted to meet your individual requirements.

The VPN Router is easy to use – either locally or remotely – and can be configured with the intuitive web interface. Experts can also administer the VR2020-LD with the Command Line (SSH)
