Frequently Asked Questions
Is the Aruba JZ337A available refurbished? +
Yes. This page lists the refurbished condition currently available from BuyRouterSwitch. Availability can change, especially for bulk orders.
Can I request bulk pricing for JZ337A? +
Yes. Businesses, resellers, MSPs, government buyers and procurement teams can request custom quantity pricing.
Does BuyRouterSwitch ship JZ337A internationally? +
BuyRouterSwitch ships enterprise IT hardware to customers in the United States and international markets, subject to destination and product restrictions.
What are the primary performance advantages of the Aruba AP-535 JZ337A in high-density environments? +
The Aruba AP-535 is engineered for high-density deployments, leveraging 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) technology with 4x4:4 MIMO. This allows for significantly increased throughput and capacity compared to previous Wi-Fi 5 standards. It effectively manages multiple concurrent client connections, reducing latency and improving overall network efficiency in environments like lecture halls, conference centers, and crowded office spaces where high traffic demands exist.
How does the JZ337A handle client traffic as a Unified Campus Access Point? +
As a Unified Campus AP, the JZ337A operates in either controller-managed mode or controller-less Aruba Instant mode. This flexibility allows IT administrators to deploy it in environments that scale from small branch offices to large enterprise campuses. It simplifies network management by supporting centralized policy enforcement and seamless roaming, ensuring a consistent user experience regardless of the physical infrastructure configuration.
Does the Aruba AP-535 JZ337A require external antennas for optimal coverage? +
The JZ337A comes equipped with integrated internal antennas optimized for standard indoor ceiling or wall-mount installations. These antennas provide reliable, uniform signal patterns suitable for most enterprise floor plans. Because the antennas are internal, the device maintains a streamlined, low-profile aesthetic, making it ideal for deployments where environmental impact and aesthetic concealment are priority requirements for facility management.
What is the role of the dual radio configuration in the Aruba AP-535? +
The dual-radio design allows the AP-535 to concurrently support 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands. This enables the access point to serve older legacy devices on the 2.4 GHz band while providing high-performance, low-interference connectivity for modern Wi-Fi 6 clients on the 5 GHz band. This dual-band capability is essential for maintaining backward compatibility while future-proofing your wireless network infrastructure.
Is the Aruba JZ337A compatible with existing Aruba Mobility Controllers? +
Yes, the JZ337A is fully compatible with Aruba Mobility Controllers when operating in Campus AP mode. By integrating with the controller, you gain advanced features such as centralized radio management, enhanced security policy enforcement, and seamless roaming between access points. This makes it an ideal upgrade path for organizations currently running Aruba infrastructure that are looking to transition to 802.11ax technology.
What specific Wi-Fi 6 features are supported by the Aruba AP-535? +
The AP-535 supports key Wi-Fi 6 technologies including Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) and Multi-User MIMO (MU-MIMO). OFDMA allows for more efficient channel utilization by grouping small data frames, which significantly lowers overhead and latency. Combined with 4x4:4 spatial streams, these features ensure the access point can handle high-bandwidth applications like video conferencing and cloud-based services with high reliability.
Can the JZ337A be managed without a physical controller? +
Absolutely. Through Aruba Instant mode, the JZ337A can be managed as a standalone device or as part of a virtual controller cluster. This eliminates the need for physical hardware controllers in smaller environments. The virtual controller automatically pushes configurations to other access points in the network, providing an enterprise-grade management experience with significantly reduced operational complexity and lower hardware footprint.
What power requirements should I consider for the Aruba AP-535 deployment? +
The AP-535 is designed to operate on standard Power over Ethernet (PoE) and complies with 802.3at and 802.3af standards. Depending on the power budget available from your existing switches, the AP may adjust its performance features to maintain stability. It is recommended to verify your switch's power budget during the planning phase to ensure the access point receives sufficient current for full 4x4 radio functionality.
